Rare Japanese Pokémon Cards Hit BOXED Vending Machines

Japanese Pokémon rares aren’t always easy to find, especially abroad, which is why we’re bringing some of Japan’s rarest Pokémon cards to you in our new vending machines!

We’re launching three vending machines on BOXED, each a different tier, packed with Japan-only Pokémon cards. So whether you’re looking to add a few unique Japanese Pokémon cards to your collection or chase an ultra-rare Japanese grail, we’ve got you covered.

Three Vending Machines with Japan Exclusives

Unlike our curated boxes, each vending machine is filled with more than 250 cards and is constantly restocked. Every pull is guaranteed to be an authenticated slab or a near-mint single, and you get full visibility into the drop rate for every item inside.

For the Japanese vending machines, we’re offering three tiers with unique Japan exclusives.

Japanese Starter: An entry-level vending machine with unique cards like the 2019 Pokémon Japanese My251 promo card with a surfing Pikachu, or a Detective Pikachu promo card featuring the adorable CGI Pikachu from the movie.

Japanese Elite: Level up with our Japanese Elite vending machine, which includes classic Japanese rarities like the 1996 Japanese Base Set Magikarp, or the lovely 2001 Darkness, and to Light... Dark Gengar in a CGC 9 slab.

Japanese Ultra: Our rarest Japanese Pokémon cards live inside the Japanese Ultra vending machine. Top pulls include the 2016 Japanese Mario Pikachu promo card, or a PSA 10 Pokémon Topsun Chansey card.

BOXED’s Biggest Month for Pokémon

These new Japanese vending machines are live now on BOXED! And remember to check out some of our other exciting Pokémon cards already available on our site. We recently launched our Super Grail, the PSA 10 Skyridge Charizard, which could be pulled for as little as 502 gems.

There are also new BOXED Booster Packs, which recreate the pack-ripping experience on BOXED. Unlike our curated boxes, Booster Packs come with 10 cards in each pack, with the last card typically a rare or higher. We modeled these packs after popular Pokémon boosters like 151 and Paldean Fates, and they even feature the same chase cards, such as Bubble Mew.
