BOXED Update: New Opener Animations

BOXED has a new look to its digital pack ripping experience, and you can check it out right now on BOXED.GG!

Starting today, you’ll find that our digital pack ripping animation has been updated with an option to open packs in a new, but familiar way, by mimicking the physical booster pack ripping experience but in BOXED.

We hope that these visual changes make the digital pack ripping experience on BOXED even better than it already is. Read on for more details about the animation updates.

New Booster Pack Style Opener

Nothing beats the feeling of opening a new booster pack and flipping through your fresh, new cards. It’s a timeless experience for a reason, which is why we’re excited to introduce this familiar experience as a new pack opening animation on BOXED!

When you open a box, you’ll have the option to choose between the new TCG Opener or our revamped Spinner (more on this in a bit). Once you select the TCG Opener, you’ll be able to scroll through an array of digital packs, and when you feel good about one, click to open and see the magic.

We worked hard to capture the satisfying smooth feel of opening a new booster pack, and are really proud of the effort it took to get that feeling just right. You can even change the settings so that the rare cards are in the back, just like physical booster packs!

Plus, a New Spinner!

For fans of our Spinner animation, we’re also introducing a new version we think is even better, specifically for mobile users who make up the majority of BOXED collectors.

The new Spinner has cleaner, more optimized look that shows off more of the card art, and spins much more smoothly than our legacy version. So if you’re not a fan of the TCG style opening, you can rest assured knowing that the Spinner has a new look too!
