One Piece Card Game and Nike Unveil Official Collab

Last month, Nike rolled out a collab with One Piece, and it mostly seemed like an exclusively clothing-based venture: some One Piece-themed apparel and new Air Maxes with designs inspired by Devil Fruits.

Now, that collab is extending to cards. Last night, the official One Piece Twitter account teased four cards: Three DON!! Cards featuring the shoe designs, and an alt art version of the Gear 5 promo Luffy card P-099, with foil detailing and an image of Luffy in Nikes.

There are three ways to get the cards, with the first two being Japan exclusive.

First, you can attend the Dr. B’s RESEARCH LAB pop-up in Tokyo. If you buy shoes, you get the DON!! card, and if you buy apparel or a hat you get the Luffy card. If you were hoping to get the cards by going to the pop-up, you may already be out of luck, as admission was based on a limited lottery system that already closed.

The second way to grab the cards is by becoming a digital subscriber to Shonen Jump Magazine. Subscribers who fill out an application will get the chance to win a full set of cards - 10 copies of each DON!!, as well as 4 copies of the Luffy Promo. That application period starts on September 18, and will close on October 18th.

Finally, for players and collectors outside of Japan, Nike and Bandai Card Games announced that English versions of these cards will be distributed at upcoming tournaments. Although it's yet to be revealed which tournaments those might be.

Competitive players should keep an eye out for those Nike Luffys and Air Max DON!! cards, as they could be a hot commodity.
