One Piece Day '26 just wrapped up festivities at Japan's Makuhari Messe convention center this weekend, and going in, the EB-05 and OP-18 announcements were supposed to be a sort of victory lap, as OP-17's 4th Anniversary launch had already garnered a ton of hype.

Then they revealed a Final Fantasy crossover, two Straw Hat firsts that players have been waiting years for, and another Heroines set that we expect will build even further on the popularity of the first.

Before we get into it, here’s the TL;DR:

  • Yoshitaka Amano of Final Fantasy fame is collaborating with Bandai as a One Piece TCG guest artist.
  • Franky finally has a Leader.
  • Nico Robin gets her first Manga Rare.
  • Nami and Robin headline a Heroines set that’s stacked with new art.

Here's everything we know about EB-05 and OP-18.

EB-05: Heroines Edition Vol. 2

Officially titled Heroines Edition Vol. 2, the One Piece Card Game's fifth Extra Booster set is scheduled to drop in October with a lineup that puts the series' women front and center. Headlining is Nico Robin, who gets a fresh Green Yellow Leader with the ability to rest and heal using Wisdom-attribute Character synergies.

So far, though, the real highlights of the set are its arts. Both Nami and Robin will be getting SP art in the style of the One Piece Heroines novel and anime. In addition, many of the game's most iconic women Leaders, including Vivi, Nami, Shirahoshi, Boa Hancock, Rebecca, and Bonney, will all be getting new alt art designs.

Much of the set's art is still yet to be revealed, but the previews suggest it'll lean on the fan-favorite Vogue-esque illustration styles we've seen from mainstay artists like Sunohara in the past.

OP-18: The Dominance of God

Ultimately, the Heroines announcements ended up being an appetizer for the feast that was the reveal of OP-18, The Dominance of God. Themed after Water 7 and the Holy Knights of God, the set has two Leaders announced so far: a Black Purple Leader for fan-favorite Holy Knight Gunko, and a Green Purple Leader for Franky.

Eighteen sets into the game's existence, this marks the first Franky Leader ever released in the One Piece Card Game, and his ability revolves around Stage cards. In addition to granting every Stage +3000 Counter in hand, his DON!!-1 effect plays a 5-cost or less Stage card straight from hand.

Saint Gunko, on the other hand, can ramp an active DON!! by discarding a card from hand, provided there's an 8000-power Character on board. She then draws 2 and trashes 1 any time she summons a card from her trash, helping her recoup some of the losses from the Leader effect.

On top of those Leaders, Bandai also announced a special collaboration with Yoshitaka Amano, the artist behind some of the Final Fantasy series' most iconic art and character designs. Similar to the collabs with Baki the Grappler artist Keisuke Itagaki and Jujutsu Kaisen artist Gege Akutami, the Amano collab will feature his signature style, this time applied to Loki and Saint Shamrock.

Finally came the reveal of OP-18's Manga Rare: Nico Robin. Decked out in her classic Enies Lobby outfit, it's her first ever Manga Rare, and one One Piece fans have long awaited. As a Straw Hat and one of the franchise's most beloved characters, we expect this one to outpace at least the last few sets' worth of Mangas in terms of value, so prepare those wallets now.
